My Adz South Africa is an online platform where individuals and businesses can buy, sell, advertise and discover products and services across South Africa. In addition to our classified ads platform, My Adz also offers a secure Marketplace where buyers can purchase eligible products directly from verified sellers.
Yes. Creating an account is free, and users can post classified advertisements free of charge, subject to our Terms & Conditions and any applicable usage limits. Marketplace sellers may be subject to transaction fees or other charges, which will always be disclosed in advance.
Classified Ads allow buyers and sellers to communicate directly and arrange transactions independently.
Marketplace listings allow buyers to purchase products directly through My Adz using secure online payment methods, with additional buyer protections and seller verification processes.
You can browse listings without an account. However, you will need to create an account to:
- Post listings
- Buy through the Marketplace
- Sell products
- Save favourite listings
- Contact sellers (where required)
- Receive order updates
- Track purchases
Click Register on the My Adz website or mobile app, complete the registration form, verify your email address, and follow the prompts to activate your account.
Yes. My Adz is available through both our website and our mobile applications, allowing you to browse, buy, sell and manage your account from anywhere.
Yes. Businesses of all sizes can advertise products and services, operate Marketplace stores, and reach customers across South Africa.
My Adz is available throughout South Africa. Buyers and sellers can connect across all provinces, towns and cities, subject to seller delivery options and Marketplace availability.
My Account & Profile
Click Register on the My Adz website or mobile app, complete the registration form, verify your email address (where required), and follow the prompts to activate your account.
Yes. Creating a My Adz account is free. Additional fees may only apply when purchasing Marketplace products or using optional paid services.
No, Each user should maintain only one personal account unless My Adz has approved multiple accounts for legitimate business purposes.
Creating duplicate accounts to bypass Marketplace & Classified rules or restrictions is prohibited.
Select Login, enter your registered email address or username and password, then click Sign In.
Select Forgot Password on the login page and follow the instructions to reset your password using your registered email address.
After logging into your account:
- Go to Account Settings.
- Select Account Details / My Profile.
- Enter your current password.
- Create and confirm your new password.
- Save your changes.
You can update your profile information by visiting Account Details / My Profile and editing your:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Address
- Profile photo (where available)
Some changes may require verification.
Yes. You may update your email address through your Account Details / My Profile. Verification of the new email address may be required before the change becomes active.
Yes. Phone numbers can usually be updated within your Account Details / My Profile. Verification may be required for security purposes.
After registering, My Adz may send a verification email containing a confirmation link. Click the link to verify your email address.
If you do not receive the email, check your spam or junk folder before requesting a new verification email.

A verified account indicates that My Adz has completed certain verification checks. Verification improves trust but does not guarantee the quality of products or services offered by a user.
Log into your account and open the Orders/Payments section to view your previous Marketplace and/or Classifieds purchases.
Sellers can manage active, pending and completed listings through the My Listings or Seller Dashboard section of their account.
Where available, select the Favourite or Save option on a listing to add it to your favourites list for easy access later.
If you are not receiving emails:
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Confirm your email address has been verified.
- Ensure your email address is correct.
- Add My Adz to your safe sender list.
- Contact Support if the issue continues.
You may request permanent account deletion through your by contacting My Adz Support.
Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account may result in:
- Removal of your profile.
- Loss of saved favourites.
- Loss of order history access.
- Closure of your Marketplace account.
- Removal of active listings, where applicable.

Posting Ads
Yes! Your first 100 ads are free to post.
To post an Ad, click on "Post Ad" on the top right corner.
Once clicked, you will be taken through a step by step process on creating your Ad.
On completion of your Ad, it will be published immediately, however we do have a team monitoring all Ads posted.

To promote an Ad, go to your account, click on "My Listings".
Find the Ad you'd like to promote. Click on the "Promote" button on the Ad.
Choose a promotion type and you'll be directed to the checkout page.
Once checkout is completed, your Ad will automatically be promoted.
If your Ad was Deleted, it means your Ad went against our Posting Rules Policy.

Marketplace
The Marketplace allows buyers to purchase products directly through My Adz using secure online payments. Sellers manage their own inventory, shipping and customer service while My Adz provides the platform, payment processing and Marketplace support.

Certain sellers may be required to complete identity and bank account verification before receiving Marketplace payouts. Verified sellers display a verification badge where applicable.
Yes. Eligible individuals and registered businesses may apply to become Marketplace sellers, subject to our Seller Verification (KYC) Policy and Marketplace Terms.
Yes. Sellers may list both new and used products, provided the condition of each item is accurately described and the products comply with our Prohibited Items Policy.
Where permitted, certain services may be offered. All services must comply with applicable laws and Marketplace policies.
No. Unless specifically stated otherwise, products listed on the Marketplace are sold by independent third-party sellers. My Adz provides the Marketplace platform and facilitates eligible transactions.

Marketplace listings are clearly identified on the Platform and include an online checkout option. Classified ads generally require buyers and sellers to arrange payment and collection independently.
Buying
Browse Marketplace listings, select the product you wish to purchase, add it to your cart, proceed to checkout, complete your payment using one of the available payment methods, and wait for the seller to process and dispatch your order.
Yes. You must have a registered My Adz account to purchase products through the Marketplace. This allows you to track orders, receive updates, request refunds where applicable, and communicate with sellers.
Yes. You may add multiple eligible Marketplace products to your shopping cart before completing checkout. Products may be supplied by one or more sellers.
Depending on how the Marketplace is configured, you may be able to purchase products from multiple sellers during a single checkout. Shipping charges and delivery times may differ for each seller.
Product availability is shown on each Marketplace listing. If an item becomes unavailable before your order is confirmed, you will be notified during the checkout process or shortly thereafter.

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch, subject to the seller's cancellation policy and applicable consumer protection laws. Once an order has been shipped, you may need to follow the Refund & Returns Policy.
Where available, you will receive a dispatch notification containing tracking information or confirmation that your order is on its way.
Yes. If the seller provides tracking information, you will be able to monitor your shipment through the courier's tracking system or your My Adz account where supported.
Delivery estimates are provided as a guide. Delays may occur due to courier issues, weather, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond the seller's control. If your order is significantly delayed, contact the seller or My Adz for assistance.

Yes. Marketplace payments are processed through secure payment providers. My Adz does not store your full payment card details and takes reasonable measures to protect your personal information.
Yes. Buyers may purchase products from sellers across South Africa, subject to the seller's delivery areas, shipping options, and any applicable delivery restrictions.
Selling
To become a seller, create a My Adz account, select the option to sell on the Marketplace, complete any required seller information, verify your details where required, and create your first listing.
Individuals, entrepreneurs, retailers and registered businesses may sell on My Adz, provided they comply with our Marketplace Terms, Seller Verification Policy and applicable South African laws.
Creating a seller account is free. However, certain Marketplace services, transaction fees, promotional features or seller tools may have applicable charges. Any fees will be displayed before you are charged.
Some sellers may be required to complete identity verification before selling or receiving payouts. Verification helps protect buyers, sellers and the Marketplace from fraud.

Used products may only be eligible for return under certain circumstances, such as where they are defective or where required by law.
Custom-made or personalised products are generally not eligible for return unless they are defective or otherwise required by law.
Digital products may not be eligible for return once access has been provided, unless otherwise required by law or stated by the seller.
Contact the seller promptly and explain the issue. Depending on the product, warranty terms and applicable consumer protection laws, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
Where available, return progress may be visible in your My Adz account or communicated by the seller.
If you cannot resolve the matter directly with the seller, contact My Adz Support with your order number and details of the issue. We will assist in accordance with our Marketplace policies.
Verification & Trust
Verification may be required for:
- Marketplace sellers.
- Business accounts.
- Users receiving Marketplace payouts.
- Accounts selected for additional security checks.
- Users where verification is required by law or payment providers.
Browsing and posting classified ads may not require verification. However, Marketplace sellers and users accessing certain features may be required to complete verification before those features become available.
My Adz may request:
- South African ID or passport.
- Proof of address.
- Business registration documents.
- Bank account verification.
- VAT information (where applicable).
- Additional supporting documentation.
Verification documents can be uploaded securely through your My Adz account where verification is available. Ensure all documents are clear, current and legible.
Yes. You will receive a notification or email advising whether your verification has been approved, requires additional information or has been declined.
Verification confirms certain identity and account information, but it does not guarantee the quality of products, services or future conduct of a seller.
Buyers should always review product descriptions, ratings and reviews before making a purchase.
Where available, a Verified Seller badge indicates that the seller has completed My Adz's verification requirements. The badge is intended to increase buyer confidence but should not be considered a guarantee.
Personal information collected during verification is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Verification documents are only accessed by authorised personnel and trusted service providers where necessary.

Yes. My Adz may request updated information or additional verification if your account details change, unusual activity is detected, or legal or payment provider requirements change.

Yes. My Adz may monitor Marketplace activity to detect fraud, policy violations and suspicious behaviour in order to protect the Marketplace and its users.
